Performance and reliability release adding the new REST Search Fast Path, expanded frontend search-mode selection and improved index-build recovery to PrismSearch Pro.
Changes
- Add REST Search Fast Path alongside the normal REST and Direct Pro search modes
- Integrate Direct Pro with the new 1.0.5 frontend search-mode selector
- Manage the Fast Path MU-plugin through the WordPress Filesystem API
- Run eligible anonymous Fast Path searches after MU-plugins and before normal plugins and themes are loaded
- Bypass Fast Path for authenticated or nonce-protected requests
- Fall back to normal REST search when Fast Path is unavailable and disable Fast Path on multisite installations
- Keep Direct Pro available independently through pro/search.php and WordPress SHORTINIT
- Add a Stop indexing control for active index builds
- Resume interrupted index builds after an admin page refresh
Upgrade notice
- PrismSearch Pro 1.0.5 adds REST Search Fast Path as an optional performance-focused alternative while retaining normal REST and Direct Pro search modes
- Changing the frontend search mode does not require an index rebuild
- Existing indexes remain compatible when upgrading from PrismSearch Pro 1.0.4
